On July 14th, Mark Logic Corporation, a leading provider of software for information-centric applications, launched MarkLogic Sever 4.1, the newest version of its industry-leading XML server. Key new features include expanded Representational State Transfer (REST) capabilities, schema validation, Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS)/Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) support, and Japanese search and enrichment.
MarkLogic Server 4.1 brings new capabilities that respond to market demands and make customers more competitive.
“The new wave of web applications has started a revolution in how data is organized by making it easier to create new services that allow for better access to information,” said Kurt Cagle, author, developer, and online editor for O’Reilly Media. “The ability of MarkLogic Server 4.1 to expose data as a REST-based service that can be consumed and searched by web clients, both within a corporate network and across the web, supports this monumental shift. MarkLogic offers an ideal platform for any organization looking to create and deploy new information services more quickly and easily.”
